Four New Photos

Just like on the fifth, I decided to take the time to add some of my recent work. This time I opted to add four photos that I took in the past two months, including one from the recent Fourth of July fireworks display.

Two New-ish Digital Art Additions

I finally took the time to add two pieces of digital art that I created last month and the month before. The older one is an experiment with combining photos to create multiple copies of me in one image and the newer one is just a wild manipulation.

I took several photos at Whatcom Falls Park yesterday. If anyone is looking for them, I put a few (small-sized) ones on Flickr, but feel free to get in contact with me if you would like full-sized versions of any of them.

Painting: Condemned

It is the first weekend of the quarter and I have already completed a painting; this is a good sign. The painting is called Condemned and is quite a bit different from any of my past paintings (though, I could probably say that about each painting as I finish it). I played heavily with perspective and specific colors in order to draw the viewer in.

Barack Obama Speech Generator

I added a Barack Obama Speech Generator to the site. It isn't anything fancy, but I thought it was entertaining. Obama gives some amazing speeches, so I create a simple script to generate speeches that sound like something he might actually say.

Digital Art: Reach

A few days ago, I took a bunch of photos of myself to use as a reference for a painting I hope to complete in the near future. When I moved them onto my computer, I noticed a couple that really stood out to me. I modified one of them in GIMP and came up with Reach.

Quickly skimming through the photos I took this weekend, I came across one that looked great without any editing. I decided to upload it and call it "Preset" in reference to the sun, which had not yet set.

Things have been pretty quiet around here, but I did have the chance to complete a painting yesterday called "Warped Needle." I still have two unfinished paintings waiting eagerly for my free time, but it may be a while yet before I get to them.
