Lyrics
Ghost of Advice
By Ian G. Clifton

I'm opening my box
I'm climbing from the ground
I've got lessons for everyone
So everyone gather 'round
Never turn away
Never complete a pattern
When it's dark
Light your own lantern
Memories are best remembered
The present is best enjoyed
There are some people
You really ought to avoid
If you have to rip out your heart
To see it when you are lost
You'll see the majority so false
And know it was worth the cost
If you always follow your brain
Be sure to wipe your eyes
If you always follow your heart
You just may survive the lies
You can't sell things for they're worth
Your security blanket is inclusive
But never worry about cash
Money is always elusive
Everything you chase
Will always get away
But if you stand still
You'll catch up some day
Talking isn't enough
But holding sometimes can be
And sometimes a smile
Is all you need to see
When you get angry
Objects are good to break
But hearts aren't objects
So don't make that mistake
Always say goodbye
You might not be back
But when you leave for good
Don't forget to pack
Circumstance hits hard
But humor can defend
Rough days aren't bad
They take a night to mend
If you wake up angry
You did something wrong
Listen to some music
And be sure to sing along
Above all smile
And live in the now
And if you do all this
Let me know how
