Lyrics

Tears from the Sky

By Ian G. Clifton

World so full of people hurting
It's so wet we cannot see
You think that's rain falling from the sky
But it's tears from you and me

The puddles are building
They're turning into lakes
And just as humanity always does
We are wallowing in our mistakes

We hide in our own corners
Only sometimes looking around
If we could open our eyes
Happiness we could have found

Tears blur our vision
And our noses turn red
We really should be living
Or we might as well be dead

World so full of people hurting
It's so wet we cannot see
You think that's rain falling from the sky
But it's tears from you and me

People always bump paths
And sometimes their paths collide
But it's all those strangers out there
With whom we're too scared to confide

We need to open our hearts
And live our lives so free
We need to live as we are
Just let everyone be

Don't try to be like others
Just be yourself
Because truth and friends in life
Are life's only wealth

World so full of people hurting
It's so wet we cannot see
You think that's rain falling from the sky
But it's tears from you and me

World so full of people hurting
It's so wet we cannot see
You think that's rain falling from the sky
But it's tears from you and me
