This painting is of me (on the left) and my buddies Tim and Dave when we were in the Middle East. I tried to make it look a bit like a folded piece of paper as a sort of play on the memory.

The top portion turned out really well, but I mistakingly lined up the folds with the people and did not realize it. At this point I was too new to oil paints to be able to effectively blend the paint at the folds, so only the top portion is very convincing as far as the illusion goes. The characters all have a lack of detail that would not have been so bad if the illusion of paper was more convincing.
