These are the fireworks that were visible from just outside my apartment (you can see the outline of the building on the left). It took a lot of adjusting of the settings on my "point and shoot" camera to even be able to capture halfway-decent photos of the fireworks. Though the shots I took came out well, they convinced me of the need to upgrade my camera to have more control over shutter time, aperture, etc.
