This was the first wood burning I did. The figure in it is something/someone I used to draw frequently as a child. I really enjoy the way that fabric can flow, so it was not much of a surprise that I chose to do something with that for my first of this type of art. It's probably also not surprising that I created a dead tree by burning the wood, since it is not too hard to make some wood look like wood... I really enjoyed creating this piece, because it was a new and unique challenge and it also smelled very good.
